Asian workers together with ATNC (Asian
Transnational Corporation Monitoring Network)
express their strong anger at the no-union policy and worker repression
of Samsung.
Freedom of association is a core universal human right and a fundamental right of workers
that all countries including Korea have guaranteed in principle. Yet Samsung
has maintained
a no-union policy in all of its production sites around the world. In order
to maintain this
brutal no-union policy, it mobilizes all kinds of illegal and violent means.
アジアの労働者たちとＡＴＮＣ（仮称：アジア多国籍企業監視ネットワーク）はSamsungの労働組合禁止策
と労働者抑圧に対して強い怒りを表明する。組織の自由は、韓国をふくむすべての国が原則的に補償して
いる、中核的・普遍的な人権でありまた労働者の根源的権利である。しかしSamsungは世界中に展開して
いる同社のすべての製造現場で、労働組合禁止の方針を維持している。この労働組合禁止という非道な
経営方針を維持するため、同社はあらゆる種類の非合法で暴力的な手段を使っている。
Samsung advertises itself as a ‘world-best company’ but we know that behind this,
the no-union policy is forcing workers to be sacrificed. In order to maintain
the company
as strictly non-union, Samsung keeps surveillance on workers that try to
form unions, and
even threatens and bribes them, and ruins the name of Samsung.
Samsungはみずからを「世界最良の会社」と宣伝しているが、この陰で、その組合禁止方針が労働者に
犠牲を強いていると我々には分かっている。Samsungは組合を結成しようとする労働者を監視し続け、
彼らを脅迫や買収さえして、Samsungの名前をおとしめている。
As long as the computers, mobile phones and televisions that we use are
produced by
the infringement of Samsung workers’ rights, we are firmly determined to boycott all
these Samsung products.
我々が使うコンピュータ、携帯電話、テレビが、Samsung の労働者の権利を侵害することによって製造
されているかぎり、我々は同社のこれらの製品すべてをボイコットする堅い決意でいる。
Also, Samsung must answer for the suspicious illnesses being found among the workers
at its Korean-based factories. At Samsung Semiconductor factories in Korea, so far 22
workers have been found to be struck with leukemia. It is the responsibility
of Samsung
to clarify and reveal the reason why they had to die and why they contracted leukemia,
while working for Samsung. However Samsung shamelessly evades responsibility
for
their sacrifice. We cannot tell how many more workers will have to become
victims in
the future. We are outraged that not only does Samsung rob workers of their
right to
association but also robs them of their lives.
さらに,Samsungは韓国にある同社のいくつかの工場で働く労働者の間で見つかっている、不審な
病気に対して回答しなければならない。韓国各地にあるSamsungの半導体の工場で、これまで22名
の労働者が白血病にかかったことが分かっている。彼らが同社のために働いている間に白血病に
かかった理由と死ななければならなかった理由を明確に世に知らせることが同社の責任である。
しかしながらSamsungは、恥知らずにも彼らの犠牲に対する責任を避けている。我々は今後さらに
何人の労働者が犠牲者にならねばならないのか知る由もない。我々はSamsungが労働者の結社の
権利を奪うだけでなく、彼らの命をも奪うことに怒りを覚える。
Samsung keeps a no-union policy at its factories all over Asia. When female
workers
tried to form a union at the local Thai Samsung company, Samsung Electro-Mechanics
(Thailand) Co., Ltd., Samsung transferred them to their subsidiary company
Anyon,
converted many workers to subcontracted workers, and finally dismissed
many of them.
We in the ATNC Monitoring Network demand the restatement of the transferred and
dismissed workers back to the main Samsung company in Thailand, and full
compensation
for their work.
Samsungはアジア中に展開する同社の工場において、組合禁止の方針を維持している。タイの
Samsung社である、Samsung Electro-Mechanics 有限会社で働く女性労働者たちが労働組合を
結成しようとしたとき、Samsungは彼女たちを子会社であるAnyonへと転勤させ、多くの労働者を
下請け労働者へと変え、最後には彼らのうちの多くを解雇した。我々ATNC監視ネットワークは、
それらの転勤させられたり解雇されたりした労働者たちを、タイのSamsung本社へと戻すこと、さらに
その仕事に対し、完全な補償を行うことを求める。
As long as Samsung maintains its no-union policy, workers cannot exercise their
freedom of association in the Asian region. Therefore, as long as Samsung
is colluding
with governments to repress workers, ATNC Monitoring Network will strongly
fight
together with Samsung workers. We will monitor Samsung wherever they produce or
sell their products, always in solidarity with the workers who are being
repressed by
Samsung. We will expose the dirty reality behind Samsung’s beautiful advertisements.
Samsungがその組合禁止方針をとり続けるかぎり、アジア地域で労働者たちは、結社の自由を行使
することができない。それゆえ、Samsungが労働者を抑圧するため政府と癒着している限り、ATNC
監視ネットワークは同社の労働者とともに、強い闘いをおこなうだろう。我々ATNC監視ネットワークは、
Samsung に抑圧されようとしている労働者と常に連帯して、同社が製品を製造し販売するときはいつ
でも、Sumsungへの監視を続けるつもりでいる。我々はSamsungの美しい広告の裏にある、汚い
現実を世に晒すだろう。
Finally through the solidarity of Asian workers we will crush Samsung’s
no-union
policy and without fail, we will support democratic and independent unions throughout
Samsung.
最後にアジアの労働者との連帯を通じ、我々はSamsungの組合禁止方針を潰し、必ずやamsungの
全工場において、民主的で独立した組合をつくることを支援する。
We strongly urge Samsung to:
· immediately abandon its no-union policy and respect the rights of labour
throughout
the world
· immediately acknowledge the leukemia victims at Samsung semiconductor
factories
as having occupational disease, not individual illness
· take all necessary measures for the health and safety of all workers
who work for
Samsung, including outsourced and subcontracted workers
