Mission Statement (運動声明）

Vandenberg Air Force Base, located north of Lompoc and south of Santa Maria
on California’s Central　Coast, is 155 square miles of pristine sacred land that,
for thousands of years, was home to the Chumash tribe of native peoples.

ヴァンデンブルグ空軍基地は、カリフォルニアの中央部海岸沿岸のロンポックの北、
サンタ・マリアの南に位置する、数千年間先住民族のChumash 族にとっての郷里
であった、自然のままの神聖な１５５平方マイルの土地である。

In 1941 the U.S. Army appropriated this land and opened a training center.
In 1957　it transferred to the U.S. Air Force, one year later it became
Vandenberg and home to the 30^th Space Wing, its Western Missile Range
(Nuclear-capable Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) testing), and
Space Launch Complexes (satellite placement into earth’s polar orbit).
In addition, four silos at the Base’s　north end house actively deployed interceptor missiles for the National Missile Defense program. Vandenberg
also is home to the Joint　Space　Operations　Center, a component of
the Air Force Space Command, which coordinates data from satellites to
support Vandenberg in its stated mission of “Air and Space Superiority,
Global Attack, Rapid Global Mobility, Precision Engagement, Precision
Engagement and Agile Combat Support.”

1941年米国陸軍はこの土地を不当に占有して訓練センターを開いた。1957年にそれは
米軍空軍基地となり、１年後、ヴァンデンブルグとなって、第30宇宙航空団、その西部
ミサイル射場（核弾頭搭載可能大陸弾道弾試射）、　　そして宇宙ロケット発射施設

The purpose of Vandenberg Witness is to expose the Vandenberg Air Force
Base mission as a key installation for U.S. imperial war-making, global
dominance and space supremacy, and highlight current and ongoing efforts
in resistance to that mission.
Included in this resistance are efforts to:

我々の組織である「ヴァンデンブルグ・ウィットネス」の目的は、米国の帝国主義的
戦争行為、全地球的支配、宇宙での優位性に貢献する主要基地としての、ヴァン
デンブルグ空軍基地を世の中に暴露し、その使命に対する現在の、そして継続し
ていく抵抗を世に強く示すことである。

　・End over 25 years of I.C.B.M. testing and preparation for nuclear war;
　・Stop the U.S. Government’s drive to militarize and weaponize space;
　・Abolish nuclear weapons;
　・End U.S. hegemony and imperial war-making;
　・Restore stolen lands to natives of both California and Marshall Islands,
　　　which lie at both ends of the Western　Missile　Range;
　・Encourage airmen to give up their service to the corruption, and
　　　often illegal imperial pursuits, of the U.S. Government.

・25年以上となる大陸弾道ミサイルの試射と核戦争の準備を終わらせる

・宇宙を軍事化し兵器を配備しようとする米国の野心をストップする

・核兵器を廃絶する

・米国の覇権と帝国主義的戦争をやめさせる

・西部ミサイル射場の両端にある、カリフォルニアとマーシャル諸島の
　　両方の先住民に、彼らから奪った土地を返還する

・腐敗し、そしてしばしば非合法の帝国主義的追求を行う米国政権への
